At Rent A Technician, we aim to keep our pricing transparent and straightforward. While exact fees may vary based on the nature of the issue and your location, this page offers a general overview of what to expect when booking with us.
STANDARD RATES
Online Consultations
- R1,100 for up to 1 hour (Zoom, MS Teams, WhatsApp)
- Includes diagnosis and repair if completed within the hour
- Additional time is billed at R850 per hour, pro-rated
On-Site Call-Outs
- R1,100 base fee
- Plus travel costs (free within 10km of our technician; distances beyond this are charged based on location)
- Additional hours billed at R850/hour
Urgent / Same-Day Appointments
- Subject to availability
- May incur a priority fee — quoted upon booking

PAYMENT TERMS
- Full payment is required upfront before any work commences
- We accept EFT, card payments, and secure online checkout via our website
- Itemised invoices are provided for all services
TRAVEL & LOCATIONS
We currently operate in Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town.
Travel within 10km of a technician is free. Travel beyond 10km is charged separately and quoted based on distance.
